School Council
Form 5 recently held an election to choose their class representative for the School Council. Ten of the pupils put themselves forward for selection, and made a great deal of effort in their presentations and speeches, no doubt influenced by last year's Head Boy and Head Girl election.
Firstly, there was a ‘heads on the table’ secret voting for their preferred two candidates, from which three excellent finalists emerged for the final paper vote. The class had many opportunities to see democracy in action - watching eagerly as the two ‘tellers’ made three piles of the voting slips and declared the winner.
