Down on the Farm

The children in Reception went to Godstone Farm last week. They were met by Farmer Amy who took them around the farm to show them all the animals. They started their activities with a minibeast hunt, watched by the resident ducks and geese, followed by feeding the pigs and watching them complete an obstacle race! They also had a hands-on experience with some smaller animals including Bob the tortoise and Crunchie the very long-haired guinea pig.

The children finished their day with a play on the large wooden castle and a tub of ice-cream.

They all demonstrated their Hilden Oaks values throughout the day and received some lovely comments on their behaviour.
