Virtual Speech Day and Prize Giving with Guest Speaker Kirsty Hoiles

On Tuesday evening we streamed our Virtual Speech Day and Prize Giving ceremony.  Mrs Wade put together a truly fantastic tribute to our Form 6 leavers, to mark their time at Hilden Oaks.   

Motivational speeches were given by Mrs Joiner and our special guest speaker, Old Hildenoakian, Kirsty Hoiles, who, prior to lockdown, has been playing Tanya in the West End musical, Mama Mia.  

The children each shared memories of their time at Hilden Oaks, and were 'virtually' awarded cups and trophies for their achievements.  

The following day, Kirsty Hoiles very kindly agreed to hold a virtual Q & A session with the children in Form 6. It was wonderful for them to be able to 'meet' her, and have the opportunity to ask her more about her life, as a professional actor.  We are extremely grateful to Kirsty for giving her time so generously, and who knows, she may well have inspired one or two of the children to follow in her footsteps!
