Values for Success

During this half of term, Form 6 are learning about managing money in their PSHCEE lessons. Today, one of the Hilden Oaks parents very kindly came to talk to the children about setting up and running businesses. She talked about marketing; pricing, profit, and about how COVID affected her own businesses (both negatively and positively). As a group, they also discussed unique selling points and everyone agreed that Hilden Oaks' USP is Values-based Education! Mrs Halford made links to several of our School Values in her presentation and highlighted the importance of them to the children. Form 6 asked many thoughtful questions and they learnt a great deal from the presentation, which will hold them in good stead for the Young Enterprise initiative later this year.
