Up Up and Away

Mrs Joiner and Mr Smith challenged the pupils in Odyssey of the Mind club to build supports that would hold a piece of wood as high as possible above the table using only the following materials:
pencils, playdough, cotton reels, pipe cleaners, straws, masking, tape and scissors.

Initially the pupils worked in two teams, each coming up with their own ideas on how to solve the problem. Both teams had some success; however, when they shared their experiences and came together as one team, they were truly triumphant!
