Tingatinga-themed Batik

This half-term, Form 6 have been studying Tingatinga art, which originates from East Africa. They have been producing paintings in this vivid, bold style, and have also been creating Tingatinga-themed batiks. Several pupils began adding hot wax to their fabric (a tricky and time-consuming process), and then they will use dye to depict the beautiful colours of African landscapes. We're looking forward to seeing their finished creations.
