Roman Invasion

Form 3 have been studying the Romans in their history lessons and had the opportunity, this week, to visit Dover Museum, where they were shown real Roman artefacts during a workshop session. They enjoyed working out what each item was used for. In addition, they participated in a clay modelling workshop, where they each made a Roman soldier's head (which they brought back to school to paint when dry). They also saw a Celtic Roundhouse and the Bronze Age boat. After a visit to the shop, where they had to practise adding up their money to pay for their items, they had a packed lunch on the beach and then set off back to school.

As always, the children impressed the staff at the museum with their knowledge about the Romans and their impeccable behaviour. Well done Form 3!
