Pancake Day

The youngest children in Nursery celebrated Pancake Day with plenty of enthusiasm. They had a choice of big or small pancakes, or even both. Plenty of fabulous mathematical words were used "tiny, little, enormous and huge". They used their senses to smell, taste, touch and look at the various toppings they could choose from. All the children managed to eat at least one pancake, some even had two! They also made their own craft pancakes, by sticking one into a frying pan and using magical glitter sugar to sprinkle on the top.

Mrs Howell read a lovely story called 'Mr Wolf's Pancakes' written by Jan Fearnley, which reminded the children to be kind and share things with friends.
