Out of this World
It's been a bit out-of-this-world in Form 1 recently. As part of their astronaut training, the children experienced 'moon dust'. They started researching what it is like on the moon, then used this information to feed their imaginations when touching the moon dust and understanding how craters are made.
A few days later they arrived in the classroom to find that a rocket had crashed! Rocket debris lay across the carpet, chairs were up-turned and a red hoop lay abandoned. Thankfully Mr Smith had helped clean up and could give a fantastic account of what he had discovered, which sparked their curiosity further.
It was a really exciting start to their new story, Beegu.
