Creative Curriculum Time (CCT)

The children in Prep and Pre-Prep had a wonderful Creative Curriculum day, finding patterns in many different forms:

Prep

• Dance & Gymnastics - Creating dance and gymnastics patterns

• Sky - Looking at cosmic patterns and constellations using the 'skyview' app, creating constellations, and lightboxes.

• Weather  - How human behaviour has affected weather patterns and contributed to climate change.

• Mandala - Patterns created for a Mandala - used as a religious symbol, often circular with geometric shapes and symmetry.

• Quilts - Discovering how quilt patterns were used as maps to guide slaves escaping along the underground railroad, from America to Canada.

• Nature - Finding patterns in nature and then creating poetry, pictures or descriptive text.

Pre-Prep

• Shape Patterns and Tessellation - creating dinosaurs!

• Repeating Patterns

• Learning 'Bee Dance' patterns to find the nectar and printing flower patterns.
