Creative Curriculum Time (CCT) - Construction

Children from Nursery to Form 6 explored the very topical theme of ‘Construction’ during Friday’s Creative Curriculum Time. Many of them also dressed as construction workers, and all were invited to come in their own clothes for a donation to FoHOS (Friends of Hilden Oaks School).

They had a fabulous time exploring the theme through a wide range of activities, including building houses for the three little pigs; making structures from marshmallows and spaghetti, origami, or even humans; exploring architecture, dry stone walling and man-made landmarks; deconstructing a song; debating and writing poetry.

Some of the children also had the opportunity to inspect the progress on our own construction site and to meet some of the builders.

Many curriculum subjects were covered in this diverse day of discovery!
