Christmas Hampers for those in Need

The idea of a Christmas collection by the Tonbridge Lions Club, with the proceeds being used to provide gifts and Christmas hampers to some of the elderly in the community, started back in 1952. The proceeds of the collection were used to provide gifts – at one time it was two hundredweight of coal and two bushels of logs for the elderly!

Tonbridge Lions are delighted to announce that the food donations from our Harvest Festival this year have contributed towards 88 Christmas hampers, reaching 250 people (families and individuals) in need, locally.
