Census 2021 - Let's Count!

We’re delighted to be taking part in Let’s Count!, the exciting, award-winning schools programme that helps children learn about the census and why it matters to everyone.

On Friday 19th March we held a Let’s Count! Day, in School. All the children have been counting things around our School and collected data on subjects that matter to them. The information gathered will be used to make a display, which we will then use to enter the Let’s Count! competition.

The children in Form 1 pretended to be the Government and carried out a census on their wooden bodkins, giving them job titles and creating a tally chart. They also asked their friends lots of questions and created tally charts and bar graphs. Reception learnt all about the census this week in maths too!
