Author Returns to School
We were delighted to welcome author Anna Wilson back to Hilden Oaks this morning. Anna is a former pupil of Hilden Oaks and she came to talk to the children about her time at the School and her life as an author. She explained to them how the library and her love of reading inspired her to become an editor before fulfilling her dream to write. Some of the anecdotes and childhood memories she shared, had the children in stitches and we're certain everyone will remember her visit for a long time to come. Anna was also able to take a trip down memory lane by visiting some of her old haunts and popped into our current, uniquely designed, School library to very kindly sign some of her books for us. Thank you Anna for coming to see us. We hope that Hilden Oaks will continue to inspire more authors in future - it must be the 'E M Forster effect' from the time when he lived in the house that is now occupied by the School.
