Animal Automatons

The children in Form 5 have been learning about cam mechanisms in their DT lessons. They designed and then made their own moving mechanical animal automaton. They used lots of skills during the designing and making process: researching information to inform their design, considering the characteristics of the cam mechanism when designing the moving part of their toy, measuring accurately, using tools safely and effectively, problem solving and evaluating their finished model against their original design brief and criteria. They worked very hard and as you can see, have produced some amazing models.
Well done, Form 5!
